Welcome to the Citroen Car Club
The Club for Citroën enthusiasts everywhere
For more information, telephone 07000 248 258
We've been looking after Club members since 1949 so we know what we're talking about when it comes to Citroën the marque, its heritage and that elusive ingredient that makes these cars so special, even today. Clearly, it's a combination of our name, reputation and experience that accounts for the 4000+ Citroën vehicles in our ranks. In fact, it's probably fair to say that many of the older models wouldn't be on our roads today if this Club hadn't provided timely expert advice and technical camaraderie to model owners during this period. But times have changed and now it's not just technical advice that matters to our members. We see more and younger members joining us with sporty Saxos, wicked C2s, trendy C3s, family C5s and spacious C8s. In fact there are as many new cars as air-cooled ones in our ranks, although the older classics and affordable (5+ years old) do make up the majority today.
Regardless of your choice of Citroën model, we're sure you'll find something for your needs within our Club services today.

HELP WANTED
I am urgently looking for an early frog-eyed D, an SM and a CX for the Club display at the above event, as all the possibilities I had are now unable to come.
You will find full details of the event on pages 6 & 7 of the April & May ‘Citroënians’.
If you can help please contact me as soon as possible by e-mail at chairman@citroencarclub.org.uk or by ‘phone on 01273 833745
Brian Drummond
Club Chairman
UPDATE: May 9th
I now have an SM and a CX, plus an H van, a later D and a GS. An early frog-eyed D would be nice, or a D Decap or Safari, but would be happy to consider another interesting model, other than 2CV or Traction, as we are sharing the display area with 2CVGB and the TOC.
Brian.

Citroën’s Sébastien Loeb has become champion of the world for the fourth consecutive year, after his third place finish on the Wales Rally GB secured the FIA World Rally Championship title in his C4 WRC.
The French ace needed to finish fifth or above to make sure of the crown in the season finale, and a podium finish behind Mikko Hirvonen and title rival, Marcus Gronholm, was enough to wrap it up.
Sébastien, and co-driver, Daniel Elena reclaimed the lead with a victory in Ireland, leaving themselves a six-point cushion going into the Welsh round.
“Of my four titles, this was without doubt the most hotly contested,” beamed Sébastien after the rally. “To have succeeded after such a fierce fight with Marcus on stages across the world gives it a very special flavour. I know Marcus would have liked to end his retirement year by taking the crown, but I’m only half sorry he didn’t!”
Loeb’s Citroën Sport team-mate, Dani Sordo, and his co-driver, Marc Marti, finished Wales Rally GB in fifth place, ending up fourth in the overall championship standings.

On November 17 2007, Geoff Smith was presented with the 2007 Meguiar’s Award for ‘Car Enthusiast of the Year’ at a gala dinner at Mercedes-Benz World, Surrey. The ceremony was hosted by Barry Meguiar, President and CEO of Meguiar’s Inc., attended by 160 high profile members of the motoring fraternity and compered by the popular Channel 5, Fifth Gear presenter, writer and racing driver Tiff Needell.
This is the fourth time the UK Meguiar’s Award has been presented and is based on the company’s successful American Award scheme launched 13 years ago. It is designed to honour the person who is felt to have made the most significant contribution to the growth, visibility and quality of the car enthusiast movement in all its varied forms.
A panel of nine highly respected automotive journalists, chaired by Octane magazine editor Robert Coucher, met for a day to review the nominations and select the recipient. There were 14 worthy nominees yet, after due deliberation, the judging committee were unanimous in their choice of Geoff Smith.
Geoff Smith has played a pivotal role in the development of legislation surrounding the historic vehicle movement in the UK and internationally. He is currently Vice President of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) - a group of over 400 clubs and museums and some 1500 trade and individual supporters, the prime aim of which is to ‘uphold the freedom to use old vehicles on the roads without any undue restriction’.
On accepting the award, Geoff Smith said, “I am delighted to be the recipient of the 2007 Meguiar’s Award, an accolade which, whilst kindly acknowledging my own work in this field, also celebrates the immensely strong car enthusiast movement in the UK.”
The Citroen Car Club is proud to be a member and supporter of the FBHVC, and we send our congratulations to Geoff.
