I am pleased to report that I have been in negotiation with Citroën UK regarding a new initiative they have proposed  for the benefit of our members.

This is an Affinity Scheme they are setting up with a number of outside organisations and they felt it appropriate to start with the Citroën  Car Club.

I have received the following message from our esteemed editor Chris.

Members have been invited by Citroën UK to participate in the above programme.

Those eligible will be intending to book their Citroën into an authorised dealer at some time this year for a service, etc.

Following on from last years inaugural X Rally that was a brilliant success, we will of course be holding it again next year. The date is the 7th April 2013 and this once again combines with Burghley's Fine Food Market that is a well represented event that they hold each year...

Those of you that attended last year will only know too well that this was a truly fantastic event. If you have not been before, why not come along. It will be great to see you!

At the request of the Board, the Club Forums have been opened up to be externally accessed (read only) by non-members. If you're a non-member, simply sign up by clicking on "Create New Account" or Register. Once you have registered, you will be able to browse the CCC Forums.

"French car giant PSA Peugeot Citroën is expected to announce the closure of its historic Paris plant at Aulnay-sous-Bois, spelling deep trouble for the 3,300 strong workforce and the already disadvantaged surrounding region.

We are aware that many people are experiencing problems with their login to the site not being remembered correctly, meaning they have to log in again on each visit. We're trying to figure out why this is, and will sort it as soon as we can.

In the meantime, if it makes life easier, you should be able to change your password by going to the "My Account" link once you're logged in.
