Pressure Reserve

To allow the correct operation of all the hydraulic functions, it is necessary to have a permanent reserve of pressure.

This reserve is contained in an accumulator which will provide, according to the needs, the stored pressure.

Principle (see Pl.1)

A volumetric pump known as "high-pressure", driven by the engine, pressurises the special fluid contained in the hydraulic reservoir and pumps it into the main accumulator via the pressure regulator.

This pressure regulator is set to return to the tank the fluid provided by the pump, when the desired pressure is reached in the main accumulator.

The main accumulator supplies fluid under pressure to the pressure accumulator for the brakes and the pressure distribution valve which directs this fluid towards the various circuits.
