Assembly 1: Manual Clutch Control.
Mechanical component: Control lever under the dashboard.
Hydraulic component: Manual clutch piston.
Position A (fig.1 - Lever pulled): The high pressure, from the distribution valve, passes through the different circuits of the hydraulic block.
Position B (fig.2 - Lever pushed): The piston cuts the link from distribution valve -> hydraulic block. At the same time, it "returns" the fluid under pressure to the clutch cylinder engaging the clutch: The vehicle's engine can now be started using the handle.
Assembly 2: Manual gear selector (fig. 1 and 2).
Mechanical component: Selector lever.
Hydraulic component: Selector piston.
After the various positions of the lever are determined by the driver, the piston establishes the link (see Pl.31-32-33):
For synchronised gears | For unsynchronised gears | High pressure : | Cylinder corresponding to the gear lever (cover of the gearbox). |
High pressure : | Valve corresponding to the control piston for gear changing.
High pressure : | Capacity corresponding to the synchronising.
